About Wow Imports
Wow! Imports started in 2005 as a family business and quickly became the premier online store for African fair trade bead & wire art, particularly our beaded collectible animal figurines and recycled plastic bag animals. Each season we introduce new beaded animals, beaded key chains and more to decorate your person, home and garden. Consider our many beaded collectible animal figurines for your spring garden decor and patio decor.
In 2006 we established a relationship with one of Jerusalem’s finest and most experienced jewelers, who specializes in handcrafted sterling silver and 14k gold personalized name jewelry. Within a short time we’ve become one of the top online name jewelry stores, offering the largest selection of name necklaces and name rings in many languages and exclusive styles. Our Hebrew name rings, Hebrew wedding rings and Carrie necklace are among our most popular!
Our master artisans are dedicated to handcrafting the finest wire & bead art, recycled art and name jewelry. Contact us about custom design requests.
We are committed to socially responsible and fair trade practices. Our African crafters are mainly disadvantaged artisans from Zimbabwe and South African townships. They set their own wages and hours and are provided with materials and pleasant work accommodations. We provide them with useful customer feedback to help them create the finest and most marketable designs.

History of Piggy Banks
After selling piggy banks for more than a year it suddenly dawned on me, why are
they called piggy banks? What does a pig have to do with saving money? A pig would
be the last animal you'd associate with saving! Why not bunny banks or doggy
banks and for that matter, why an animal at all?! Additionally, piggy bank sounds
like it was intended as a child's item as how many adults would use a piggy
bank for collecting change? To satisfy my curiosity I did some piggy bank research
and have learned some interesting things and thought I'd share them with you.
